Welcome to the Hutterer family’s lakeside retreat, where their CanadaDocks® setup has been a part of their lives for over 20 years. Nestled on the calm waters of lake Manitouwabing, the Hutterers have built countless memories on their dock, from morning coffee by the water to long summer evenings spent with family and friends. What started as a simple space to enjoy the lake has become a cornerstone of their cottage and family life. Their dock has grown and evolved with them, adapting and changing based on their needs and their ever-growing family.
The Hutterer family began building their dream cottage in 2003, a project that took nearly three years to complete. What started as a getaway soon became their permanent home, and for the past 22 years, they’ve enjoyed the peace and beauty of lakeside living in retirement.
When they first moved in, the property came with an old wooden dock that had clearly seen its share of summers. Splinters were a constant concern, especially with kids playing by the water, making it difficult to truly enjoy the space.
Over the years, the Hutterers have turned their cottage into a hub for relaxation, adventure and most importantly, a place for the family to enjoy together.
They’ve recently discovered a passion for kayaking, but getting in and out of the water used to be tricky and sometimes slippery. That all changed when they added a CanadaDocks® Kayak Launcher to their setup, now they can glide into the lake with confidence, enjoying easy, worry free launches every time.
